Masterclass Overview

Are you ready to bridge the gap between quantum theory and real-world hardware execution? This exclusive masterclass is an educational intensive explicitly designed for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers looking for deep, practical experience in quantum computing control and calibration.

In this session, a select group of quantum researchers will be organized into small, collaborative teams to get direct, hands-on experience using the cutting-edge WACQT quantum infrastructure and state-of-the-art Qblox control systems. Participants will work directly with WACQT-developed quantum chips, providing a rare opportunity to interact directly with active quantum hardware.

Workshop Agenda

Time Session 
2:30 PM - 4:00 PM Infrastructure Intro & Software Deep Dive: 
  • Introduction to WACQT Infrastructure: An overview of the quantum infrastructure and advanced chips developed at WACQT.
  • Introduction to the Qblox System: Learn to leverage unique hardware capabilities for quantum experiments, featuring an interactive, live demonstration of pulse generation using a Qblox system connected to an oscilloscope.
  • Software Framework Deep Dive: An overview of the Qblox software for pulse and gate-level experiments, featuring interactive exercises for experiment development, qubit calibration, and benchmarking
4:00 PM - 4:15 PM Coffee Break & Refreshments
4:15 PM - 5:45 PM

Live Setup Demonstration & Advanced Control:

  • Remote QPU Access: Connect directly to active setups at Chalmers to execute a complete qubit calibration.
  • Advanced Topics: Dive into adaptive calibrations for fast qubit tune-ups utilizing Qblox LINQ-based hardware feedback.
5:45 PM - 6:00 PM  WACQT Infrastructure Tour:

Wrap up the technical sessions with an exclusive guided tour of the WACQT quantum infrastructure.
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM  Networking Reception:

Following the laboratory tour, join your peers and quantum experts from Qblox and Chalmers University of Technology for a fully catered networking reception. This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students and postdocs to connect, share research insights, and build future collaborations in an informal setting.
